The holiday season is right around the corner, and if most of you dudes are like me, you lack that keenly intuitive sense of finding the perfect gift for someone that females seem to be born with. Have no fear BrenandSven are here! These 10 gifts are guaranteed knockouts for any brother, father, or any Bromantic interest in you life
Before reading this you must understand we are assuming that you have already failed your dudely duties and are unable to get your buddy a Motorcycle, which is numero uno for this list, and have been forced to resort to more sensible and feasible tokens of affection.

1. Ghost Rider and Travelling Music - These two excellent books by world renowned, Rush drummer, Neil Peart, are a must have for any motorcyclist… or man for that manner. The first book, Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road is an autobiographical story that depicts Neil Peart’s motorcycle journey on his awesome BMW R1100GS across north and central America as he wrestles with life’s hardest questions and attempts to recover from a year of tragedy where he lost both his daughter and wife within 10 months. The story provides an insight into the mind of a genius who has lost everything close to him and must rebuild from the ashes of a broken life. The story immerses the reader into the beautiful scenery of the American landscape, as seen through Peart’s healing journey, and eventually leaves the reader with a sense of fulfillment when Neil is finally able to get his life back together.
Traveling Music : The Soundtrack to My Life and Times is another autobiography by Neil Peart and takes place several years after his first book. This story recounts events from his childhood, his travels with the band Rush, his life’s tests and travesties, and where he has ended up after it all. It takes place as he recollects his past while listening to a song list of his favorite tunes on a journey from his home in Los Angeles, California, to Big Bend National Park, Texas in his BMW Z-8. Over his journey, Neil discusses what has driven him in his life, and what he has learned over the years. Like Ghost Rider, this book takes the reader across another beautiful landscape while pulling at your heart strings with stories of a well journeyed life.

Harleys always have to be a little different.
2. Bike Gear- Maybe the dude in your life already has a steel stallion, but needs some gear to show off to everyone how freaking cool his pony is. For this situation the BrenandSven team recommends turning him into a walking bike billboard by getting him shirts, watches, hats, etc. with his favorite bike brand on it. Ducati started this trend of branding their logo to clothing… this is probably because they’re Italian, and anything Italian must be sexy and slapped on to cloth. But now even the less sexy euro countries, i.e. Britian, are getting with the concept, and brands such as Triumph are seriously marketing their threads. High on our list of cool bike wears would be a Triumph Motorcycles Chronograph Watch ($97-$115), PUMA Ducati Sneaker
($67-107), and, for our Hog riders, a Benchmade Harley-Davidson Mini-Hardtail Folding Knife
($107), to protect yourelf against the other Harley riders.

Ride Like a Hooligan

Dress Like a Hooligan
3. Contour Hooligans- If you looking for some original style this year, and don’t want a motorcycle brand on it, the BrenandSven team highly recommends the threads produced by Contour Hooligans Inc. This small Los Angeles based company provides a unique sense of style inspired by LA’s dance and club scene. Their clothing is a must have for any urban biker. If you’re going to ride like a hooligan, you better dress like one.

"Scotchy Scotch Scotch, Down in My Belly"- Ron Burgundy
4. The Macallan ($25-$175)- After a hard day of riding, or after reading about Neil Peart’s hard day of riding (Gift 1), or for any reason you can possibly think of, you’re going to want to sit down to a nice cool glass of The Macallan Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This fine purveyor of liquid gold was founded in 1824 and has been thoroughly tested by the BrenandSven team. We have yet to find a single malt scotch Whisky that has a smoother or richer taste, nor compliments a cool Winter’s night as well as this one. Any man should be honored to receive a gift like this.

5. The Droid ($199.99)- Tired of losing your friend’s call because he is a slave of the iPhone and AT&T’s disturbingly horrid service? Get his “call-failed” ass a Droid for this holiday gift giving ritual. Backed by Verizon’s superior service, this little tech brick comes equipped with all the fun features that you would expect from an iPhone, but with an industrial design and a keyboard you can actually touch (this is useful if your trying to text with riding gloves on). This little black beast will definitely be on a lot of Christmas wish lists this year.

Drop the MOAG (Mother Of All Games) this Christmas!
6. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ($59.99)- This is the ultimate game of the year! Okay it does not have anything to do with motorcycles or beer, but it does rank high in the bromance factor. After untold hours in the Bren and Sven lab, we have run this game through conclusive tests to prove it is one of the best holiday gifts out there! This game has three main features: an interesting campaign, a special ops feature, and a royally amazing multi-player online game. This game is guaranteed to please any man, woman, or child (probably over the age of 13) that may be lucky enough to receive it as a gift.

The Mean Lean Speed Machine
7. Areal Atom ($100,000)- Ok this gift is a little above the average prices of the other gifts on this list, but hey if you have the cash this little speed demon would be an amazing gift. Manufactured by a British company, made in the United States, and powered by Honda’s Civic SI 2.0L 4 cylinder engine, this little atomic bomb is a mad melting pot of mechanic mayhem. This gift is perfect for someone who wishes to have the handling, speed, and control of a motorcycle, but likes the concept of having 4 stable wheels on the ground.

This is the Nexxt step in helmet design...even if you do look like a Wasp.
8. Nexx MaxiJet x30 Helmet- From our comparison of last year’s Long Beach Bike show to this years, Modular helmets are becoming more and more popular, and with the look and functionality of the Nexx MaxiJet x30 who can be all that surprised. Now this helmet has caused a little bit of a divide in the Bren and Sven team. Sven believes it looks like a bug’s head and needless to say is not thrilled with it, but since I’m writing the damn article and love the look of it, it is on this list. The modular functionality and cutting edge design makes this helmet a perfect match for anyone who likes to look ahead of the curve.

Small Company... Small Item... Big Innovation
9.MotoCinch ($90-$120)- This was one of the many great products (which we will be talking about in later posts) we saw at the Long Beach Bike show. The MotoCinch is a must have for anyone who needs to move a bike but unfortunately can’t ride it to its next destination. This nifty little engineering marvel removes the hassle of having to mess with straps and ties by simply fastening to the bed of a truck (or trailer) and clamping to the foot pegs of your bike. Through some ingenuous engineering and mechanical know how, the MotoCinch provides a secure and safe means of making sure your dirt/sport bike or ATV stays put on a long journey.

When its too cold outside to ride, warm up inside with a buddy and a brew.
10. Holiday Cheer and a Beer (Priceless)- Hey times are tough right now, and maybe you and your buddy are a little strapped for cash, so this gift goes to the core of what the holiday season really is; friendship. Even if you managed to get all of the things on this list, they don’t compare to a good buddy to share the season with. So after all your shopping and holiday hoopla, take some time to sit down, crack open a beer, and catch up with a good friend.
Happy Holidays from the Bren and Sven Team!
