The Next Chapter of BrenandSven

Well it has been nearly seven months since the creation of the BrenandSven universe. Still in its infancy stage, we have grown in leaps and bounds to include you all in its splendor. From documenting the trials and tribulations of taking a entry level motorcycle course, to the tireless nights of product testing for your amusement,  to the rants and raves of life’s idiosyncrasies, we at Bren and Sven have striven to bring you the epitome of our version of the American Dream: Bikes, Brews, and Bromance.

As of March 5, 2010, the Bren and Sven team took the step in the right direction. After months if not years of yearning and longing, Sven was finally in the position to purchase the flag ship of BrenandSven.

Sven and his Triumph Daytona

Sven and his Triumph Daytona 675

The 2009 Triumph Daytona 675, enough said. It is hard for me to come up with a witty one liner to describe the bike of my dreams, because it is just that: Sven’s dream bike.

So I rolled off the Southern California Motorcycles lot in Brea, CA with a zero mile bike. The only down side to this was I was told to keep the high reving monster under 5000 RPM for the first 500 miles. This, Sven did not like. But with a week of taking the long way to destinations, those 500 miles racked up quick and after a break in service, the Daytona is roaring heavy and hard as it should.

The realization still hasn’t fully set in. Every time I start up the Triumph, I find little things about her that reaffirm its status as the bike catered solely for Sven. As I continue to ride and develop my experience and confidence with the Daytona, I will report back to all you in the BrenandSven universe of its excellence.

Bren is certainly envious of my situation. He has yet to dawn the leathers and start up a machine for himself, but that is OK. He has his commitments to tend to, and will soon enough be writing a piece like this himself. Until then, Sven is riding solo. And if you seen him on his jet black Daytona feel free to say “Hi”.

This is Sven saying- Keep the paint up and the rubber down. Ride safe.
