Hate the Rider, Not the Ride

So I know we put up a video giving a good poke at Harley riders, but the truth of it is, we don’t hate Harleys. We hate the stereotypical rider portrayed in the video. And that thick skulled imbecile of a motorcyclist doesn’t have to exclusively ride the belt driven V-twins. The leather vested (or denim… take your pick), shorty helmeted, lanyard dragging, “I’m an Amerrrrrcan dammit” ignoramuses are the ones we loathe. Oh and don’t think we forgot about the inconsiderate young guns on their improperly upgraded GSX-Rs, and their mohawk helmets.

To put it plainly, it isn’t the motorcycles fault it has a dimwit of a rider.

and this one?

and this one?

All too often you hear about the long lived spat between Harley cruisers and sport bike riders, or the argument over belt, chain, or shaft driven bikes. Sure its fun to have debates over the topics, but when it comes down to it all… who cares? If you eat sleep and breathe Harley or Honda, that’s your own prerogative but keep it to yourself. Don’t impose your close minded ideals on us other riders. Hopefully we all took up motorcycling for the same reasons, to find away to break away from the normalcy of life and to take risk for the sake of the rush. We are all supposed to be riding towards that endless horizon, that same goal, so why quarrel?

If Bren and Sven have to pick one group of riders to look down upon and scoff at, it would hands down be unsafe riders. They are the ones standing out and giving all of us a bad rap.

As Sven always says, keep the paint up and the rubber down. RIDE SAFE
